MARIO MATUS
Ambassador and
Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the World
Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the United Nation Conference on
Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Until February
2010 he was Chair of the WTO General Council, the highest-level decision making
body of the institution. During 2008 he was Chair of the Dispute Settlement
Body of the same organization. From 2005 until February 2008 he was in charge
of the Negotiating Group of the Trade and Environment Committee of the Doha
Round. During that same period he chaired the Working Group on the Accession of
Ukraine to the WTO.
